Category: School story

We enroll Josh with an art class at his school. He loves drawing and that is why we decided to let him try the art class.

His art class conducted only once a week and we pay a very minimum fee for that. At first, he is so excited about the class but lately, he complained when he saw his “yellow beg” inside the car. “Mommy, why you bring the yellow bag?” and I have to explain to him that he has a drawing on that day.

I don’t know whether he’s lazy to stay back at the school until 12.30pm or he’s interest in drawing fading. When we ask his teacher, “no problem, he’s ok..” was the reply we get. So I’m thinking maybe next year, no more art class for him but of course, it is all depends on Josh also.

Sometimes, he’s so into it but sometimes, he’s just not interested. It is all depends on his mood

Yup, that’s me, the proud mommy :D

I am really proud of my son, Josh. I am smiling from ear to ear at the moment and even as I was typing this post, hihihi, my colleague who passes by my office will open the door and asked me if I am ok. At first, I am surprised when that question asked but after a few of them stop and asked, then I realized that I was smiling sendiri (can u imagine that?)

Since I am so proud now (minta puji for you maybe, or whatever you call it, it’s ok, I don’t mind coz I am just so proud that it doesn’t bother me at all) I still want to share it with the whole world :D

When I fetched Josh from school yesterday, his teacher asked me to wait for a while as Josh teacher wants to see me. In my mind ” what did you do this time son?” but I didn’t say it out to Josh. I stand there smiling and hoping to hear the worst. A few minutes later, his teacher came with a newspaper in her hand. I thought ” Oh no!!! Josh must have tear their newspaper…matilah, matilah” with me putting my best smile.

It’s been a week since school re-open and Josh seem to be happy with school. No crying or kicking or screaming in the morning when I wake him up. No “I don’t like school mommy!” when I dress him up. I’m glad that I do not have to go through the tension and stress like I did last year. Phewwww!!

I’ll ask him what he learn in school, what he ate, does he make any new friend etc etc etc on our way home from school everyday. But like usual, he refuse to tell us. That attitude didn’t change. He seldom wants to tell us what he learn or does in school even though we ask him again and again. The only thing that interest him is “can I play computer mommy?” How can I get him to tell us? I can’t think of a way and it is really frustrating :(

And today, he called me…

Josh : Mommy, my Josh already finished homework, can play computer already?

Yea, finally we got Josh’s pictures for his school night and I kinda disappointed coz only a few of them :( If we were allowed to bring camera in, I’m sure we have LOTS of his pictures *sigh*.

Anyway, I don’t want to sound ungrateful for the school efforts. I am happy that they manage to capture Josh’s during the performance otherwise I will have no memory at all right?

I wish I can share the short video (taken by hubby using his hp, hehehe curi curi bah) but hubby forget where he puts the cable. Sigh…..and since this is our first experience, hubby cried whereby me, scolding other kids who were playing with the projector outside which resulted me not watching Josh’s perform at all *sigh*

Note:  Please click the pictures to see the caption ;)

I am getting lazy. Yes, L.A.Z.Y.! Too lazy to update this blog even though I have tons of stories to share. Sigh. Not only lazy, momentum to blog also gone. Hmm I might as well take holiday from blogging (hahahaha already started pun)

Anyway, remember my previous post regarding Josh’s Yuk Yu nite? I’m glad everything goes well that night even though  Josh cried in the beginning (he thought I left him alone when he didn’t see me around :p ) but apart from that, he’s happy. We don’t have any pictures of him that night as we can’t take any pictures. Sigh! Now waiting for his pictures from the school :(

Another headache for us after that night, Josh keep on asking us if we can have a living room like “big school” has. Gossh!! How to have a living room like a theater? He thinks we can give him home theater seating just like that *scratch head*

Now you know why he requested such a thing ;)

I’m so glad the exam was over yesterday. Yipeee!! I can sleep like a baby tonight  and I’m sure Josh too :D

I was busy searching and downloading worksheet from Internet for Josh and even bought a few work books for Josh to practice. Josh is just in Pre School and I feel so tension and worry that I didn’t teach him enough to prepare him for his final exam. I can’t imagine if he’s sitting for his UPSR..I think I’ll go crazy, LOL!

But, I do not need to wait for UPSR exam to go crazy…I am now as I can’t help him when it comes to his Chinese subject :( What I did then? I bought some work book and I also copied back all the questions from his mock exam and exercise book and ask Josh to do it. I hope it helps Josh during his exam coz I totally have no idea on this subject.

If only I can store all that Chinese characters into my memory, I won’t be worrying about this now :( It is just too bad that my memory is just like my laptop memory, too full with rubbish

Ok enough with gossip lah..don’t even know whether that’s the truth or not but hey, that’s why it called gossip right? :o l:

Anyway, after the gossip one week holiday, school starts today and I am glad Josh did not make any fuss morning. He looked so happy and he chat happily with us on the way to his school. I think he miss his teacher so much coz the moment we reach the school compound, Josh says “Mommy, no more Lau Se” pointing to the place where his teacher normally stands greeting all the students.

“Got..see, that’s your Lau Se!” pointing to his teacher. Josh was smilling happily when his teacher opened the door for him. No wonder Josh didn’t recognise his teacher this morning, she cuts her hair :)

I can’t wait to pick him up later (errr in 10 minutes time actually) and listening to his stories about school, teacher, friends etc etc and especially about the dentist visit as we were told by his teacher that there will be a dental check today for the all the students. I wonder how Josh react to this? Hmmm…

It is a habit for me to check Josh’s school bag. I wanna make sure he finish his water, his lunch bag (whatever it is I cook for him in the morning) and to see if he brings any school homework.

Then last Friday, I noted there was an envelope inside his bag. Took it out and found it was actually an invoice for Josh’s school fee for the month of August. “Dear, you got ’saman’!” I told hubby.

Yesterday, I took this out and put the amount requested inside and put it on the table.

Josh : Mommy! That Lau Se (teacher) gave my Josh!

Me : No, Lau Se give mommy.

Josh: No lah, Lau Se give my Josh.

Me: Yes, Lau Se give Josh so that mommy can put money inside it and Josh have to give it back to Lau Se again (I explained as if Josh understand why

Josh: Ooooo..mommy got enough money already?

Me: ?????? (hmm did I say something the other day in front of him?) Yes, darling. Mommy have enough money already.
