It’s been a week since school re-open and Josh seem to be happy with school. No crying or kicking or screaming in the morning when I wake him up. No “I don’t like school mommy!” when I dress him up. I’m glad that I do not have to go through the tension and stress like I did last year. Phewwww!!
I’ll ask him what he learn in school, what he ate, does he make any new friend etc etc etc on our way home from school everyday. But like usual, he refuse to tell us. That attitude didn’t change. He seldom wants to tell us what he learn or does in school even though we ask him again and again. The only thing that interest him is “can I play computer mommy?” How can I get him to tell us? I can’t think of a way and it is really frustrating 
And today, he called me…
Josh : Mommy, my Josh already finished homework, can play computer already?
Me: No, not yet. Tell me what is your homework? Is it ABC? Chinese? or numbers?
Josh: Lau Se ask my Josh write 1 & 2 only. No 3…can play computer already?
Me: No, not yet. You have to eat, drink water, take bath and only then you can play computer.
Josh: No…my Josh take bath first, then eat, then drink, then play computer…mommy salah (laughing).
Sigh. Did I do the right thing here? Giving Josh what he requested easily? I’m lost!!
Guess what … at this hour he still with his “computer study”. Hahaha.
Ya, blame me. I got 100% in my computer subject and I make sure Josh will get the same result too … LOL.

dunno if this helps or not but when i babysat for my niece and nephew, i have similar situation. if possible, they wanted to play the computer all day. niece is 6 and nephew is 9.
i told them that they only get to play computer on alternate days and only for maximum 2 hours. i also emphasize on the time shown on my laptop clock so that they know what time they should finish. the way i see it, as long as you give them play with a certain time limit, they will feel satisfied already. but i dunno if Josh is the same case lah.
their parents told me, during school days, the kids can only play computer during weekend and of course with a specified time.
wah.. same case sama sean skarang ni… he have his time playing computer masa school holiday… since he have been going to school last week, he have been begging me to play computer but i insist no computer during school time only friday and saturday. Yes he said ‘please’ he ‘cry’ he ‘mengamuk’… i pujuk2.. . but i keep my word.. so last friday.. he have his time playing the computer.. and also saturday.. i let him go online..cari ultraman.. So last week i managed lah..i hope this work for you.
