i have the same worry too, when qiqi started school. even turn my car back, went to peek at her class window to see how she is doing. go down to talk to the teachers, asking all the related teachers. Even question her BM teacher when she comes home one day telling me she does not wanna go to BM class anymore. Haha....so *susah to entertain* this mummy!!

don't worry, you know, sometimes a lot of teachers mis-used the word of "hyperactive", they just like to related this word to the active kids.

"hyperactive" cannot be said freely without the doctor confirmed, that's why i always correct the teacher if they simply mentioned "hyperactive" in front of me.

take it easy, every kids tend to have this problem when they just first started their school, because everything seems so interesting to them. Jo was like Josh before, but now he is ok.

Of course you cannot expect Josh to be kuai-kuai just because he's at school. If he is an active boy, he will be active anywhere kan?

To me, he will perhaps need time to learn the kind of attitude he needs to have in school (give him time and encouragement) and perhaps keep in touch often with the teacher because not all teachers are emotionally equipped to handle active kids.

In the mean time, Josh seems to enjoy being at school so count your blessings that getting him to school is not a problem :-)

No worry, kids are like that, especially boys. It is good that he is happy and running around. This means that he is very comfortable in his environment -- this is what's important. If he's not acting normally, THEN YOU MUST WORRY!!

fele, dont worry i think josh ni got too excited bah.. My worried about sean masih lagi until today and i usually jumpa his school teacher minta update from time to time.
Sometimes sean slow catching up.. sometimes he is okay.. i think its normal even though he have been in play school from kecil lagi. Josh never go to school so i guess memang he is excited, he is happy ada friends, just tell him what to do and what not to be disturbed. Should be okay, i am sure he needs time to adapt the environment, macam kita juga if we ada kerja baru etc. Take it easy... hugs to Josh... from ina ley.

Hi Fele, I know how u feel about josh been so active in the school ..well that is normal lah ..don't worried too much ..maybe he dpt kejutan bah cus environment baru right and get to know so many kids apart from him kan...thats why he is very active. Just give him some time and see how his progress ...normally if kids are too active ..a bit susah want to follow instruction lah but lama2 will be okay jua tuu. Ive seen from first time sending my daughter to school early this year, there was this one boy ..he was like josh too, running, shouting and don't bother of the teacher but now when I go and fetch my daughter he is like very quay2 jah hehehe ..kid will learn slowly and bit by bit then after a while ...okay already ..

Hi Fele, oh come on...its normal bah tu, not to worry so much as long as the teacher could handle it and as long as he wouldn't cry upon arriving his class. If he do cry in the morning well, thats different story lah... that definitely will makes you thinking this and that... just like my experienced with my daughther, she cried the whole month of January but after that Sunday pun dia mau pigi school ohh... Being active in the class is good, just let Josh be the leader of all, we need to trust the Teacher alright. Fourth day is still early to say, see how it goes after a month, you will find a different...

Hi Jppmom..I understand your feeling..My son is like josh..But he is the opposite of Josh when he is at home..At home, he is one hyperactive kid who cannot stop jumping around and 'destroy' whatever thing in our house. But come to school, i was little a little surprise he was very quiet. Something is wrong because he is not the quiet type. When i asked his teacher last time, she told me, My son always day dreaming in the class!! hahaha!! Sometimes teacher asked also he didn't listen. She had to call her like every minutes to get my son attention.
So my advice here, Josh has been to school for only few days. He is probably still very excited with his new environment. Give him sometimes, maybe 1 month. I'm sure he will change once he is adapted to his school environment. Kesian bah i think..all this time he can play without any restriction, suddenly pi school, have to sit down diam2 for few hours.
Apa pun nothing wrong of worrying our kids at school. Besa lah bah tu.. :)
