I was shocked when my boss asked me this question this morning “Why do people blog? Telling the whole world what’s happening in their life?” I thought he was talking about me at first. “This daughters of mine really nuts..telling the whole world about their life and their family like they got nothing better to do.” and he goes on and on talking about it.

I let him finished talking before I gave my opinions. “Boss, people blog for their own reason. Whatever they write in their blog is their own business. It is not for other people to judge what you write. If they like what you write, they will come again, if they don’t , they won’t come back anymore.”

“I find it waste of time..and this daughter of mine should be studying instead of blogging..I’m going to give it to her if she fails her study”

Me, “Boss, if she knows how to divide her time, blogging will not interfere her study. Don’t think negative towards the blogger. You will be surprise how much information you gets from blogs…maybe you should try it.”

My boss was laughing. “and tell the whole world about my family? I don’t think so!”

Me, “Not really, you can write anything..not really about your personal life. You can start off with your collection of stamps, or you passion in sailing or you can even talk about the drug rehab your friend went last year. ”

Boss, “Naaa…I don’t have time for this..furthermore, who would want to read all these?”

Me, “You never know until you try..want my help to create you one?”

Boss, “Naaa…don’t think so.”

Me, “Let me know if you ever change your mind..I’ll be happy to help you.”

Boss, “Naa…I’m too old for all this anyway..” and the conversation goes on….
